A: You’ve got a new Jeep with a warranty. Remember, a warranty doesn’t mean that it won’t break. It means that if it does it’ll get fixed for free. It sounds like your battery has shorted out. Call your dealer. Chrysler warranties don’t automatically cover towing, but will with your dealer’s input. Make sure you get a copy of the work performed. The lemon laws are very good. Usually if the same problem occurs three times you have a good claim. Often a manufacturer will buy back a problem vehicle before you initiate action with the lemon law. Don’t blame the dealer!

Q: Ordering new Jeep Wrangler soft top. Need some help!?
I am getting a new soft top from Quadratec and I have been looking at the Bestop Sailcloth top. The only issue is that I want the soft top to be black diamond because the black denim is like a gray black and its not dark enough for my liking. But if you search in the 97-02 soft tops the only color available to order is black denim, but if you go to 03-06 then you can order black diamond which I think is blacker than black denim. My question arises with will a 03-06 soft top fit on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler when most 97-06 parts are universal. Also I called Bestop the other day and one of their reps told me they didnt even make the top in black denim. Help please. Thanks
A: . In 03 they change a lot of thing beside the type black. A body change was marked. Which had some changes with the top. If you want a blacker black. Go have one made from your old top. And the fit will be good. Some that has sewing mechanize to work with heavy canva.There should a shop around that could do it. Or you can have the denim top dye to the color you want. If there is a will there is a way.

Q: Upgrading tires on my new Jeep Wrangler JK?
I just purchased a new Jeep Wrangler JK, the X model. I would like to upgrade the wheels and tires from the standard X steel rims to the Sahara standard alloys.
Is there going to be any clearance issues, or is the chassis the same on the X and Sahara models and how much should I be looking to spend for a set of five rims + tires.
I would also have to take the car into a shop for the work to be done, I do not have the necessary tools at my disposal. How much is this likely to set me back in labor costs?

A: There will be no troubles as long as it’s a JK Sahara. Previous models had different bolt pattern. JK is 5 on 5. You also can’t put 15″ wheels on them, 16s 17s or 18s will work.

A: An operating a/c uses engine power to work: I’ve heard many different numbers, from 5 hp to 15 hp. It pulls enough engine power that you can feel it kick-in when you’re driving. To give a car more ‘emergency’ power, like passing, some manufacturers put an a/c cut-off switch in the circuit, hooked to the engine computer. When the accelerator is floored, the computer cuts-off the a/c, so that the power the a/c would normally use can be used for quicker acceleration. When you letup on the accelerator, the computer engages the a/c again….

the hole pattern on the rims are 5 holes on a 5 inch circle.
the hole pattern on the Grand Cherokee is 5 holes on a 4.5 inch circle.
You may be able to find some adapters, but there are plenty of rums from 2003 – 2006 Rubicons that you should be able to pick up for not too much money. They would be the same bolt pattern, and came in 16″

A: Easiest if you are stopped, you can shift into 4wd if you are rolling slowly but the faster you are going the more you are going to grind the gears. Sometimes the gears will bind or not line up perfect which makes it hard to shift in and out, if this happens just roll it forward or back a little until it goes into gear.
Low range is more gear reduction. This means higher engine RPMs and lower wheel speed. The advantage is more torque, or pulling power for climbing hills or other obstacles. You can over rev the engine if you try to drive at highway speeds in 4 low. This is for low speed only.
High will have the same gear reduction as regular 2wd, it is for when you need more traction but not more power.

A: well it all depends if u go new or salvage,i would go salvage cause its alot cheaper and those steering boxes dont go out that often,and its really easy 2 replace,id say 225$for new 50$ for used,free u do it your self,65$an hour for labor u have someone else do it.hope i helped ya later
