I think the title is pretty self-explanatory: I have a 1968 mustang coupe with a vinyl top and the vinyl on the inside that stretches over the top is cracked and shrunk, I need to know how much it would most likely cost to get it replaced.

Q: How much does it cost to get wheel bearings replaced on a 98 mustang?
I need the front 2 bearings replaced on my 98 mustang. They’ve been bad for a really long time now and it’s starting to worry me. I had no idea that such bad things could happen if you ignore it. I got an estimate of 600, but that seems like a lot to me. Is there anywhere that wouldn’t be so much?
Also, is it easy to replace them yourself? I know someone who fixes cars but I wouldn’t want him to do it if it’s a hard job.
A: That seems pretty high to me. Just doing a quick search on google for the hub assembly shows that you can get the part for a mere $55 each, at the most.
To get mine replaced on our 04 Pontiac Grand Prix, it cost ~400 w/ labor. And the parts are about double what yours costs (according to a quick search again).
So yeah, I’d shop around or have your mechanic friend help you out.
Q: Why does the engine on my 94 mustang shake when i first start it?
After idling for about 15 seconds the engine on my 94 mustang will start to shake for about 10 seconds.. then it will stop shaking for a few seconds.. then it will shake.. and then stop shaking. why is this and how can i fix it?
A: dpisarci is an a55,remove his insulting answer. you probably have carbon deposits on you injectors and valves…try a bottle of fuel injection cleaner in the tank…if that doesn’t help then go have your fuel system cleaning. If I were you I would have it done anyway.

I just got Euro tail lights for my 1998 V6 Mustang. I need to know how to uninstall the stock lights and install the new lights.
I don’t want any rude comments about putting aftermarket lights on a mustang. I like them.
A: Pull out the trunk liner, then you’ll see the metal of the car. There will be the bolts that hold on the taillights. Just unscrew the bolts and the lights will pull right off. Then just put the new lights on and reattach the bolts, etc. It’s not hard, but if you don’t know what you’re doing then just go have it done. It’s not expensive

I purhcased my mustang from a car auction and only came with one key, the key opens all the doors and trunk but will not start the engine. the theft light blinks on the dashboard very fast how can i fix it? Is there a fuse i can pull?
A: There is no passenger side door lock. The key you recieved was more than likely not a chipped key. Your car has to have a chipped key for the car. Call a locksmith to make you a chipped key. dont get it done at ford as they try to charge way too much.

I have a 2007 Mustang Gt and I am saving up money to add the side scoops and quarter window scoops. I am a HUGE fan of the Eleanor Mustang. Now I think the side scoops and quarter window scoops used are the Cerivini’s but I am not 100% sure. Would anyone know what type of side scoops and quarter window scoops are on a Eleanor Mustang? Q: How much on average would it cost to restore a 69 or 70 mustang?
I want a 69 or 70 mustang but they are way out of my price range. I was just wondering on average how much would it cost to restore or rebuild it. And is it worth buying restored? I dont plan on doing it myself, I actually was going to put it in a shop. Any info on this would be great! Thanks in advance!

A: well, it wont cost you anything if you do the job yourself.
But assuming you dont do it yourself, there is more than just a simple motor swap. You will need to swap in the transmission as well from the GT and the complete rear end from the ‘88 as well. The axle with all the shocks and trailing arms.
I would estimate 15 hours per car so a total of 30 hours at 70.00 per, $2100.00

A: No, you can’t modify a car to make it safer unless you install the roll bars.

Larger wheels (like 19″ or 20″) will increase your braking distances and reduce your acceleration because of increased rotational inertia. For best braking and acceleration, you want the smallest diameter wheels that will clear the brakes.

A: I have a 96 gt and im 21 and with 1 speeding ticket from 3years ago and now I only pay $130 a month for full coverage under my moms policy. Now if i were to put it in my own name i would be higher. When i first got my car at 16 i was paying about $180 or so.
