Q: Is a Jeep Wrangler a good car for a teenage girl?
So I’m about to turn seventeen and have been saving up for a car of my own, and for the longest time I’ve wanted a Jeep Wrangler. I’ve been driving for quite some time now so have a little more experience but I’d like to hear from some people who’ve had them to know if they’re a good vehicle, even if I’m a little inexperienced now I’d like to know if someday it would be a good investment.
A: yes, they’re awesome cars. contrary to what some people think, Wranglers are actually pretty safe cars because of their rollcages. my friend had a ‘97 and he loved it, it was a blast riding around in that thing. they only have four-cylinder engines so they’re not that quick, but they get good mpg. your insurance shouldn’t be too much either.

I am looking at buying a Jeep Wrangler unlimited and I would like to order the Jeep to make sure it has all options that I want on it. Is it to late to order an 07 or do I need to wait for the 08 to come out now?
A: You have to get a 2008,if you order it expect about a 2 month wait.We are getting a lot of orders and right now we have about 100 production days of orders.

A: yes you can get just the sub however you will need an amp to power the sub woofer or it will not work very well.

I am trying to find the plug for my husband’s Jeep Wrangler, maybe it does not have one. I do not know the name of it, but you just plug it into an electrical outlet at night and it will warm it up so it starts easier the next day. I have no idea where to find it. On my last car it was easy to find. Where is that plug and what is it called?

A: Um…it would get maybe 7mpg. You seriously want that? Call up mopar and ask them for turn key ideas. It will cost more than the car but it’s your money.
Q: Removing Front Passenger Seat on Jeep Wrangler?
I have a 98 Jeep Wrangler and want to remove the passenger seat so I can fit my longboard in.
How hard is it to remove? Is it more complicated than simply removing the nuts and bolts locking it down? I cant seem to locate where to “undo” it at the back base of the seat?

A: Two bolts in front, two in the back, whole seat and frame comes out. Pretty easy
Another option you might consider is replacing the passenger seat with a low back seat, the third row seat from a Ford Expedition fits quite well and folds flat and forward, that way you can carry a longboard and still have a passenger seat.

Q: anything i can do to keep my old jeep wrangler from overheating in the middle east?
i live in the middle east and am driving a yj jeep wrangler. its temperature is running a bit high and the summer heat here isnt helping. is there anything i can put in the radiator etc. to maybe make it run a little bit cooler… it has a new radiator its just running high cos of the heat here and the fact its an old car overall…. and tips welcome
A: Easy
1) replace your thermostat with a “water restricter disk” you don’t have to worry about the thermostat opening or closing. Its just a hole that limits the flow of your coolant to at least heat up the coolant but still run cool
2) Try to find a product call “Royal Purple coolant additive” it helps bring the boiling point of your coolant even lower
3) get a auxiliary engine oil cooler kit, yes I said oil cooler
4) Chuck the fan and clutch and get a electric fan kit, puller type. Lots of DIY guys install the electric fan off a ford Taurus. Me I would find a “Black magic” fan kit or at least a aftermarket fan that flows at least 1135 cfm’s
5) and did you power flush the engine block?

My husband and I are thinking about getting a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, I was just wondering what the on road ride is like and how comfortable they are, I was also wondering what the off road capabilities are like? but when i move the sun visors there is no where to unsnap the top…
A: Unsnap the top at the windshield, un lock the top bows and it should fold, other types of tops you just unsnap everything and remove top and slide bows out of its tracks

I have a 98 Wrangler with a hard top and I would like to know what I need to buy to make it a soft top Jeep. I assume i have to buy some kind of mounting gear as well as a frame for a soft top but I have no idea. Any help would be nice Thank You!!!!!!!
A: You can buy the whole thing together. Unless it specifies just the skins you will get all the hardware for your top.
For example, if you buy the Best top Supertop it is everything. All you need is a few tools to put it on.

None of these vehicles have the Off Road capabilities of the Jeep (or the aftermarket), but they seem to fit what you may be looking for.

Q: How hard is it to replace a transfer case on a 97 Jeep wrangler?
I have a 97 jeep wrangler 4.0L I6, and i’m pretty sure the transfer case is ruined. how difficult is it to repair at home? I’m not a mechanic, but I can usually figure most things out.
any tips on how to, or diagnosis are appreciated
A: it,s not very hard but you will need to remove the skid plate to get to it, which means you have to support the trans, pull both drive axles and drain the fluid, look for metal in the fluid and that should help determining if the T-case is bad. most times you can rebuild the t-case with a new chain and a fluid pump.
Q: Does anyone have a wix oil filter in their jeep wrangler?
I changed the oil in my 2003 Jeep Wrangler and replaced the mopar filter with a wix. The seals matched up but the overall filter is about twice the size, I am wondering if this is acceptable or if I need to get a new filter on there! As of right now I cant see that there is oil leaking from anywhere but I had to put in 7 quarts when the manual says I should only need 6. Thanks!

A: Yes, it’s fine. I only use WIX filters as I’ve seen one too many Fram filters collapse. A few of my buddies choose to run WIX / Napa gold filters for a 5.0 mustang. It holds more oil and has a bigger filter for better particle removal.
