Q: How much does it cost to fill up a Jeep Cherokee SRT-8? & How much mileage will it go [AVG]?
A: If you have to ask that sort of question, you probably cannot afford to drive the vehicle. Figure about 11-14 MPG on premium.
Q: Where do I buy the new 20 inch wheels that come standard on the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8?
I want to put the wheels on a 2005 Grand Cherokee that is not the SRT 8.
A: Your local tire shop like a Kelly’s Tire or something like a big tire warehouse i find that used tires are very good too and are cheap to and you just have to find the perfect one that look alike
Q: How is the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 in snow?
I know the ground clearance was lowered by 1 inch, and it is has a huge engine, but OWNERS how does it perform in snow? Could these issues be changed by raising the suspension and putting on snow tires? I am interested in buying, please give suggestions?
A: In my opinion there would be no need to raise the suspension if you are driving on the road, at least around the Buffalo area the roads are kept plowed and at the most might have 2″ or 3″ on the ground before the plow makes it back. There are a few snow tires available for 20″ rims (size of the SRT8), Pirelli Scorpion (w/ rft or without), Bridstone Blizzaks (w/ rft or without). Try looking at some SRT8 forums and see what people were using. I know there are a few SRT8 Jeep forums and then you have the regular Jeep forums…also don’t forget that the SRT8 has 20″ rims as does the Challenger SRT8 and some of the other SRT8 vehicles.

Q: if u own a jeep Cherokee srt-8, I need info, like what you think of it. The good & bad?
is the cost worth it, gas milage, performance, general info
A: look at it this way, if you drive 1500 miles a month, then you are only spending $150 more a month for gas than a hybrid. since the hybrid actually costs more a month, costs more to repair, it is actually about the same price for a much faster vehicle with 4wd. I have a jeep and it costs me about $500 a month factoring in maintanence. my friend’s hybrid costs that before any additional costs like tires and oil.
Q: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8?
Hey guys, i was wondering what you guys think the price will drop to of a 2006/2007 jeep grand cherokee srt-8 in 2 years.
A: Chryslers dont hold value well at all. Expect the price to drop drastically
Q: what kind of engine does a jeep grand cherokee srt-8 have in it?
like is it a hemi 6.1 liter or a viper engine ive heard many things
A: The SRT8 Cherokee has the 6.1L Hemi with 420HP & 420 lb/ft torque.
One of the fastest SUV’s on the market.
Q: Is the jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 worth having a look at?
Looking at buying a 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo & a friend said I should look at the SRT-8 or Benz ML(but not really a Benz fan so I don’t know about the ML)
A: SRT 8 is definitely a fun suv that you will never get tired of. if you dont mind getting a average of 14-17mpg then its good. I drove my uncles while he was away for a week I got around 8mpg but i was in the pedal almost all the time. i would much rather buy a jeep than a bmw or porsche. I love my jeeps and will always own them. Take a srt for a test drive and see what you think.
Q: Can you keep a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8 in a certain gear?
If I understand correctly, you can manually shift between gears in a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 by moving the shifter left/right.
But let’s say I want to keep it in a certain gear, is this possible and how do I do this?? (for example keep it in 2nd gear at high enough rev’s to pull off a “moving” launch, instead of having it shifting 3 gears back and loosing time in a drag-race).
Thanks.
P.S.: Please focus on my question and don’t start a discussion on how street-racing is dangerous etc… I know this.
A: If you want to keep on the same gear you simply do not shift it. You know the consequences of not shifting properly so if something happens to the car its only your fault for not shifting properly.
Q: Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 8 coolest SUV?
Are there any SUV’s that look as cool as this one?
A: I’ll take that and raise you this!!

Q: What’s better 4 door Jeep Wrangler or Grand Cherokee SRT-8?
Im looking for somethin I will not get tired of.
A: well on one hand you can take the top off in the summer go off roading lift it up if you want to. on the other hand you can go fast burn almost any car off the line but you cant take the top off or go off roading. if i had to pick i would go with the srt cause i would not get tired of driving that. and if you wanted to you can get a older wrangler and drive that. my uncle went away for a week and i drive his srt8 and man it was SO awesome. i got a great 7mpg that was with my foot in it all the time. he says he can get 17-18mpg out of it if he babys it.
Q: Who is the strongest. Porsche Cayenne Turbo or Jeep Grand Cherokee srt/8 ?
A: JEEP SRT/8. Believe it or not, the Jeep is faster, stronger, and better in handling, plus its got about half the price. Don’t listen to people who guess its the Cayenne just because its made by Porsche; I was surprised too. I love both cars, but I am not choosing sides here. I am stating the facts. If you don’t believe me, look it up in a Motor Trend magazine. I have been a 4 year subscriber, and they had a “Head to Head” article about these two cars a few months back. Sounds shocking, but the Grand Cherokee SRT/8 came out the winner, no joke.
Q: Jeep grand cherokee SRT-8?
does it really do 0-60 in under 5 seconds?
A: YEP! 4.5 in wet or dry thanks to awd, pretty amazing for a 4800lb tank
Q: What’s wrong with my Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8?
Just recently I was driving my srt8 and I turn it off and then when I come back about 10 minutes later, I try to turn it on, it doesn’t turn on. It just makes a click click sound when I fully turn the key in the ignition. I took it to a mechanic to check if the battery was dead and there was no problem with my battery. I have a car engine ignition key along with my regular keys for my jeep and I thought that that could be interfering with the engine. Does anyone have any ideas? If you need more information, I will gladly tell more. I really want this problem fixed.
A: It sounds like the battery, if it checked good then I would start by looking at the battery connections to the starter and to the ground. Another thing that might be helpful is to see if there are any trouble codes, but if you removed your battery they are probably gone. Try the on, off, on, off, on method and see if you get any of the flash codes…they can be helpful.
I don’t have an SRT Jeep, I wish I did though, anyway try posting on one of these forums for a little more help from people that have them
