Q: How can you tell the mileage on a camaro?
I have a 1986 camaro, it says it has 43XXX miles on it, but it doesn’t have a place for a 6th digit. How can you tell if it’s not 143XXX???
Thanks
Also this car was from florida, so the paint is extremely faded and it’s beat up inside, but seems to run well. It isn’t running currently because the starter died, but it’s a 23 year-old car, stuff like that happens.
A: A good way to check to see if your Camaro has over 100,000 on the odometer is too look at the title of the car. The title should state the mileage of the vehicle when you purchased the car. For example if the title says 86,571 miles, and the odometer now says 43,000 your car clearly would have over a 100,000 miles on it. Another obvious thing to look for on the title of the car if it says (mileage exceeds mechanical limits or odometer discrepancy).
Q: Is the 2010 Camaro safe for my toddler to ride in?
My mom-in-law just got a 2010 Chevy Camaro and I am concerned about the safety. My daughter is three years old and will be riding in a booster in the back seat.
A: The 2010 Camaro received a four-star crash rating for both the driver and front passenger impact. It did receive a five-star safety rating for side impact and rollover crashes but the Camaros front impact four-star rating brought down the overall result. The four-star safety rating translates to an 11 to 20-percent chance of serious injury during an accident.
Not the best (5 star is tops) but certainly not the worst.
Q: What upgrades should i get for my 2000 Camaro v6?
I have a 2000 camaro v6 and its pretty slow. What can i get to upgrade it without getting a v8?
A: nothing,, embrace it for what it is. Try a cold air intake and a chip,, but they don’t even make a suitable cam upgrade for those engines. Theirs always nitrous,, you just keep replacing engines every 3000 miles.
Q: What can i get thats better than the camaro v6 but about the same price?
This guy i know has a camaro v6 and hes always showing it off. he brags about how fast it is and how everybody else sucks even though i was the one that told him to get the camaro. i was initially going to get it but now i just want bragging rights.
P.S. IM NOT A CAMARO HATER!
A: Is it the new Camaro?
Well you have a few options, you can look into turbocharged 4 cyl’s like Evo’s and Sti’s, those are fun cars to tune.
Maybe look into a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Couple 3.8 and do a few mods to it.
Or the 2011 Mustang.
If you give us a price range I’m sure everyone here can give some good suggestions.
Q: How hard is it to work on a Camaro motor 93-02?
I’ve always wanted a Camaro but the way the engine is placed it appears it would be impossible to do any kind of engine work. Is it as hard as it looks or are there ways of doing things?
A: i own an 88 cmaro Z28 I-ROC Z, there are real easy to work on i haven’t worked on any 93s or up but its a GM product and they stay pretty much the same. u can buy a hyanes manual for like 20 bucks and that will give step by step on ANYTHING u could take the hole car apart and put it back together with that book but a good heads up the v8s are easier to work on but morre exspensive, but it all pays of in the CAMARO ALL THE WAY.
Q: Where is that button I could push on my Camaro to rev the engine from under the hood?
Hello, I want to rev the car so I Can hear if there is a vacuum/exhaust leak. On some youtube videos there are people who push a button under the hood to do this, probably close to the intake.
Where is it on my car : 1999 v6 Camaro?
A: copy this link and paste it into your browser
http://image.chevyhiperformance.com/f/9589197/p160424_small+Chevrolet_Camaro+Engine_Bay_View_LS10.jpg
if you notice, a little above the dead center of the picture there is a red or orange dot connected to a piece of metal with two different wires coming out of it, i dont remember which way you move it, but when you do figure out which way to move it, it will rev up your car, i dont know if yours will be in the exact spot, but this should give you an idea on what to look for and about where to look for it.
EDIT:
ok… i found a 1999 camaro picture, but this one has had some work on it, but the piece you are talking about should be in the same spot.

if you notice, in the middle of the picture, there is a hose with two red pieces, one on each end of the hose. the red piece to the left, under that on the picture is the piece i was talking about in my earlier post, now, it still might be a little bit different, considering this one has been modded, but it should be in the same general area. i hope this helps you out
Q: Where can I find the original colors for a 1979 Camaro engine?
I’m trying to repaint the engine (and other parts) of my 1979 Z28 Camaro and I can’t find the original color specs anywhere. Any tips?
A: As far as I know, Chevy orange is the correct color up through ‘79. Then blue from ‘80-’85 and finally black from ‘86-current. Again, as far as I know there’s only one Chevy orange they used for engine paint.
Q: What are different engines found in a 98 V-8 Camaro?
Which engines does Chevy make for the camaro?
A: Only one, the LS1 5.7L 350ci…Up until 98 the f-bodies(Camaro and Firebirds) came w/ the LT1 5.7L 350ci for the 4th gen. f-body w/ V8’s.
Q: How much does the average camaro cost?
how much does the average camaro cost? And by the way, not the 2011 model. Probably the version seen in transformers. I believe that is the 2007 model? I could very easily be mistaken. Anyways, what would it cost?
A: There is no 2007 model, they stopped in 2002 then was resurrected in 2010. The one in the movie is the 2010/2011 model, same car. There is no “average” cost, you didn’t list if you wanted a V6 or V8, what time etc. Do a quick search on yahoo autos or autotrader to find what you’re looking for.
Q: Would insurance for a 1991 Camaro RS v6 be affordable for a teen driver?
Would a 1991 or any other 3rd gen Camaro’s insurance be affordable for a 16 year old with the good student discount?
A: yes my bother bought the same type of car. the reason it fairly cheap is that it is a six cylinder
Q: How much would it cost to have new Valve guides and seats put in for a 1984 camaro?
How much would it cost to have new Valve guides and seats put in for a 1984 camaro? Or would it be cheaper to have them put whole new heads in?
A: Last time I had guides installed in OEM iron heads was about 5 years ago, Had bronze guides put in a set of old 327 double hump heads.
Price was $190 for the guides, hot tank clean heads, install guides and do a valve job. That was for both heads, all 16 guides
Q: Can I install a Blinder M25 on my Camaro?
Is it possible to install a Blinder M25 Laser Jammer on my Camaro (legal in my state)? My Camaro is stock and includes fog lamps. Where could the thing possibly be mounted?
A: Try posting this on:

They helped me with my question.
Q: Looking to buy a 95 Camaro z28 Convertible, What Should i look out for?
Im looking in to buying a 1995 Camaro Z28 convertible, with 145,XXX miles on the odometer. What are some of the things i should look out for in these cars and stay away from. And also how reliable are these cars?
A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net
Q: How can u make a 93 Camaro drive better in the winter?
I have a 93 Camaro with a V6 engine, everyone tells me It will drive crappy in the winter time.
I live in Iowa
It snows not to much but we have a period of like 3-4 weeks of snow.
WHat can I do?
A: not drive it. seriously though, those v-6 models have such a tall rear end gear to compensate for the smaller engine and reduced horsepower output. tires are pretty wide, even for a v-6.
first thing i would do is invest in some good, winter tires with a semi-aggresive tread pattern, the more tread, the better you’ll do for traction. you really can’t get away with a narrower tire, although that is the best thing to do in winter. narrower cuts through the snow easier than a wide tire. but i’m not sure what a narrower tire would do with your abs, as the module reads individual front wheel speed sensors and compares it to the back wheel speed signal generated by the tooth around the differential carrier. if you had different circumfrence tires on the back than on the front, it might set an abs code and disable function. that abs is going to be the huge benefit to you in the winter.
i guess the answer will be to watch your driving characteristics and make sure your tires are good.
Q: How much will a 2009 Cheverlet Camaro cost?
I want a 2009 Chevy Camaro like the one on Transformers. I just want to know the price. I do realize it’s kinda early to know the price, but I need to know how much money to save up.
A: Well I have some bad news for you. There will not be a Camaro in the ‘09 model year. HOWEVER; in January 2009, Chevy will be offering the 2010 Camaro (yes, the Transformers car). They’re tweaking it right now, getting it ready for final production. The price has not yet been set; all I can suggest is that you save up a decent down payment and make sure your credit is good so you can finance the rest, and you should be good to go…..but if you want to pay it up front, you will probably have to have at least $30K for a decent vehicle, possibly more. Look at the cost of a Ford Mustang, because that will be the Camaro’s main competitor (and IMO, it is NO competition, the Chevy will win hands-down).
