Q: What is the title and artist of the song on the lastest Ford Mustang commercial?
I was watching tv a couple nights ago and heard this great song playing on the latest Ford Mustang commercial…it really rocks. I was wondering who is the artist and what is the title of the song. I’d love to get a download of it.

A: The song from the Ford Mustang commercial is “Light of the Morning” by Band of Skulls.

You can get the song and watch the commercial here:
http://www.popisms.com/TelevisionCommercial/16581/Ford-Commercial-for-Ford-Mustang-2010.aspx
.

Q: ford mustang ……………………………………?
i have a mustang and had a new fuel pump put in. ITS REALLY LOUD!!!!!! it is a holley red electric fuel pump. is there such thing as a suppressor for those things? my cars a beautiful 1967 but it sounds wierd.

A: Is that what you want? http://l14.info/109274/electric-fuel-pumps
Gooooood luck (:

Q: Any upgrade ideas for 2007 Ford Mustang V6 and where to get them?
I have 2007 Ford Mustang V6 that I want to begin working on. I have a few Ideas but Id like to know what else I can do other than what I have in mind. I want to put fog lights and dual exhaust. I just dont know where to get them at reasonable prices. any other ideas?

A: With the amount of money required to turn a Mustang into race car, you may as well just buy a new car. If you just want to ‘improve’ your car’s image by making it into a fake race car…there are better things to spend money on. Your car won’t drive any better with two exhausts and fog lights.

If you want a Mustang to be an actual race car, you’d need to…

1. Replace the horrible live axle with independent rear suspension and a limited-slip differential.
2. Replace the engine with something that doesn’t utterly suck (52.5 HP per liter? Come on! Even the Accord has a higher specific output!).
3. Install adjustable coil-over shocks for all four wheels.
4. Buy a set of racing tires.

That would be enough to make your car respectably quick and nimble. To go further, you could…

5. Tune the intake and exhaust pipes (so pressure waves arrive at the valves at just the right time).
6. Install a supercharger or turbocharger.
7. Increase the bore or compression ratio of your engine.

Q: how much is a 77 ford mustang worth?
ford mustang 302 body is pretty bad also the interior but the frame and eng. are decent how much i ask for it?

A: I think you should be asking How much you it will cost to have the peice of crap away

Q: Where can i go for Paint job for a ford mustang?
Im trying to find a place where i can get a 2001 ford mustang painted for under 1000 beside maaco in Michigan
hey dirtbag.. go kill yourself

A: if you want the paint to last your gonna have to shell out some clams. Also you WILL NEED BODYWORK,sure it may look strait but you do have dings and dents. Save your money get it done right, dont be cheap

Q: How to change the fuel filter on 2004 V6 Ford Mustang?
OK, I jacked up my car, relieved the fuel filter pressure and everything, and tried to change the fuel filter on my 2004 V6 Ford Mustang? The only thing is, this thing WILL NOT BUDGE! Is there a trick?? Please give specifics…I understand how to remove a fuel filter, but I am struggling with THIS MODEL car. Please help!

A: go to autozone site and lookit up or just type that info into search box
how to replace fuel filter 2004 ford mustang

Q: What should I do to my Ford Mustang?
I have a 2005 Ford Mustang V6 MIneral Grey.. I also want to know how to take the vinyl off the side skirts.

A: If it’s a V6 don’t waste your money. Why put $3000 in the motor and have a stock V8 blow your doors off.

Q: ford mustang 94 overheats, could it be the water seals?
My ford mustang v6 over heats and evaporates the water thou the tailpipe. Could it be the water seals, if so where are they located? If it is a head gasket, would you recomend repairing the engine, or changing the engine? Thanx
the car has 170,000 miles. I have changed the radiator, ther thermostat, and the water pump.

A: Does the electric fan turn on?????

Q: Why does the ford mustang not have a Ford emblem on it?
I just got a 09 mustang and i just noticed that mustangs don’t have the ford symbol, just curious to see if there is a reason…?

A: Because the newer Mustangs are styled like the ones from the late 60s and they didn`t have the Ford oval either. BTW, Mustangs from the 90s DID have the oval emblem.

Q: Does anyone know what’s the difference between the 94 5.0 ford mustang and the 95 5.0 ford mustang?
if you’ve had one of these cars and would like to comment about them please do so. or if you just know alot about the two car go ahead and comment. i am about to buy a 95 5.0 convertible ford mustang.

A: The differences between the two are nil. 94 was the first year for the SN-95 body style. It is basically an improved version of the Fox chassis.

Q: how to fix a ford mustang?
i recently bought a 1966 ford mustang coupe, im looking for different ways to increse the sound of the exhaust and give it a little more roar. any suggestions?

A: MAGNA FLOW EXHAUST

Q: I am looking for a Mustang Toy. It looks like a Ford Mustang car but it folds out into a race track.?
I know someone that has one but they got it as a gift! I have searched the internet and I can’t seem to find one anywhere! It looks like a newer model Ford Mustang car but it folds out into a race track. It also came with tiny little Mustang cars to race on the track. If you know where one of these can be purchased- PLEASE HELP! Thanks!

A: I found the Mustang toy was called “Life Like Ford Mustang Challenge” look like you wanted at amazon.com online store. Hope this helped you:

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0024XQJ2E/?tag=prdz01-20

Q: what is the max flow of a 1998 ford mustang fuel pump flow?
i have a 1998 ford mustang with a 3.8 v6 and i want to know what is the max flow of the fuel pump?

A: I think the stock pump was 170 liters/hour…

Q: Where can I rent a Ford Mustang in Dubai?
I want to rent a Ford Mustang for one day in Dubai but I cannot find any companies online. Can anyone suggest rent-a-car companies here in Dubai that give Ford Mustang on rent

A: There are many good car rental companies that you may use for your car renting purpose. Out of those http://www.TurkeyRentalCars.com is also among one of those which will provide you the cheapest and optimal car renting facility. I am sure that they would also be having Ford Mustang that you are looking for.

Q: How Much Should A 2002 Ford Mustang Cost?
I have been looking online and I can only seem to find used 2002 Ford Mustangs, I was wondering how much should a brand new 2002 Ford Mustang Standard Coupe cost?

A: The original cost of a 2002 Ford Mustang Coupe was $17,475. In todays market they go in the range of $6,950 – $10,800.

Look at msn autos. It is a very good website that has lots of information on cars. Here is a link, http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/pricing.aspx?year=2002&make=Ford&model=Mustang&trimid=94952#trimsel . Long link, but good site.

Q: When did Jeep Cherokee engines start using fly by wire?
We have a Jeep cherokee with a blown engine, and we are looking for replace it… what year did the engine change to fly by wire?

A: It is known as the ECT, or electronic throttle control. It became available in 2005; when the hemi became an option on the Grand Cherokee.

Q: What is the difference between a Jeep Cherokee and a Jeep Cherokee Sport?
I’m interested in buying a Jeep Cherokee, but what makes the Sport different? Thank you

A: There were many trim levels available throughout the life of the Jeep Cherokee. The Sport does seem to be the base, my 93 Sport has no power lock, or windows, no a/c… etc

    * Base – 1984-1993

Q: What year did Jeep Cherokee’s start having third eye brake lights?
What year, or range of years did Jeep Cherokee’s start having third eye brake lights, on the rear?

A: Ok now that the WRONG ANSWERS have wasted your time.
The correct answer is 1994.
Good Luck

Q: Which is more reliable and has better quality a Jeep Cherokee or a Jeep Liberty?
Sadly, it is time to move on from my ‘97 Jeep Cherokee We had great success with it, it lasted us a long time and has been a great ride. I would really like to stick with Jeeps and right now we’re looking at a 2001 Jeep Cherokee or a 2002 Jeep Liberty. So which is a more reliable vehicle that will last a long time? I also would really like to get something with a manual transmission so any thoughts on that would be great.

A: Stick with the Cherokee. The Liberty will have a softer ride because of the independent front suspension but the Cherokee’s solid front axle is much stronger.

Q: What is the loudest exhaust on a ‘99 jeep cherokee sport?
I am wondering what the loudest possible setup for a jeep cherokee sport would be.

A: loudest possible “legal” set up would be extractors to a 2 1/2 or 3 inch pipe straight through with a medium sized cannon or something similar on the end

Q: How Should I Start Out My Jeep Cherokee To Make It For Off Roading?
I got a 93 Jeep Cherokee (Country) its 4×4 with everything stock on it so far. Feel free to give advice of how much lift I should get on it and how big of tires a straight 6 cylinder can pull.

A: On road or off you’ll love the feel and the looks you’ll receive from a lifted XJ!

I started with the lift, wheels and tires. I learned later that you really should start off with a SYE. SYE stands for Slip Yoke Eliminator. The way Jeep engineered the connection between the rear drive shaft and the transfer case is a slip yoke. This basically lets the rear drive shaft slide back and forth as the distance between the rear differencial and the transfer case change, as in when you are off road.

This is fine until you start lifting your rig.

Now part of your question was how high do I lift? Well that depends. The whole idea of lifting your Jeep, or any off road vehicle, is to increase the ground clearance to the bottom of the lowest point of your Jeep. The lowest point is the bottom of the differicial, that big round thing on your axle.

So when you do a lift you are NOT changing the ground clearance at all. The only thing that changes the ground clearance is larger tires. So you lift your Jeep to put on larger tires, and the larger tires give you more ground clearance.

With a 4.5″ lift you should be able to put on 32″ tires. I’d have to double check but I believe stock tires are 27″. 32″ – 27″ is 5″ You only get 1/2 that so that is an increase of 2.5″ between the ground and the bottom of the differncial. So that means that with a 4.5″ lift and 32″ tires, you increase your off road clearance by 2.5 inches!

The higher the suspension lift, the larger the tire and the greater the ground clearance.

The greater you ground clearance the larger obstacles you can drive over.

{I hope I haven’t bored you yet.}

The problem with tires greater than 33″ is you now have to start being concerned with the strength of the axles. Also the higher you go the greater the change in your center of gravity. The center of gravity determines how far you can tilt, before flipping!

As I mention I decided on a 4.5″ lift and 32″ tires. Since that time I have cut out the fenders so now I can put larger tires on. I want to go with 35″ tires, but as I mentioned this will require beefier parts.

My 4.5″ lift came with a transmission drop kit. This helps to make things work well until, or instead of, the SYE.

My advice to you would be to look at what you want to accomplish. If you wan to crawls rocks and steep inclines, then lower may be better. I like the mud and I want good ground clearance.

For a good off road Jeep XJ I wouldn’t go higher than 6.5″ of lift.

Q: How do I prepare my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic for winter weather?
I have a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic. She is 11 years old and has 130,000 miles on her and is headed to a colder climate for the first time after having lived in warm climates and flat land (FL, CA) all her years. She is headed to the mountains and frigid blizzard winters. It’s my first time living in cold weather. What add-ons does she need to have to upgrade to winter (and mountain) life?

A: Winter tires, anti freeze mix half and half with water, correct weight engine oil, 5-30 usually. Highest cold cranking amps battery that will fit. Fresh wiper blades, winter windshield washer fluid. I usually go synthetic all the way, ie. Diffs, transfer case, transmission, power steering, engine oil.

Q: How to find the source of electical problem in 1986 Jeep Cherokee?
1986 Jeep Cherokee with the v-6, I think its the headlight switch because the lights and all quit working after you start the vehicle, and then no lights work except the brake lights, any help?
Thanks.
i thought it might be the headlight switch, anyway to test it before just replacing it?

A: It sounds like your headlight switch is bad.

Q: How much is a jeep cherokee sport worth?
I have a 2000 jeep cherokee with 78000 miles on it it has all the basics along with abs and a cd player. It is in good shape in the body and interior. I was wondering what it would sell for as I currently afford the gas prices and the gas mileage it gets. One thing that is wrong tho is the A/C is out of it. All I want to know is how much I can sell it for approximately.

A: You can check the estimated value of your vehicle yourself using any of the many free online vehicle valuation resources available. Two of the most popular are:

Kelly Blue Book (http://www.kbb.com)
NADA Guides (http://www.nadaguides.com)

Best of luck. I hope this helps.

Q: What is the biggest engine that can fit in a jeep cherokee sport?
I have a 95, 4 door jeep cherokee sport with the 4.0 inline 6 engine in it currently. Ive started having problems with it and have realized if i want to keep the car i should change engines, also i want a flat new engine for it. i want a big engine in it cause i love mudding. my question is can i fit a hemi in it or no?

A: It ain’t worth it my friend, just stick to getting a new 4.0. The 4.0 I6 is a fantastic engine and would push many more horsepower if you get the right parts. Take the huge amount of money and time you will need to put a different engine in and invest it in a new 4.0 and aftermarket upgrades, you’ll find you have saved a huge bundle of cash and months worth of painful work.

Good luck!

Q: What kind of oil should I use with a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport?
What kind of oil should I use with a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport?
It has 4 wheel drive and it is automatic transmission. Thanks.

A: Use one of the high mileage oils. Stay away from Pennzoil and Quaker State as they seem to build up sludge in older engines. 10W30 in summer and 5W30 in winter.
Hope these answered your question.

Q: What is the trailer hitch rating for a 95 grand jeep Cherokee V8?
I was wondering if any one knew what the trailer hitch rating is for a 1995 grand jeep cherokee. I ask this because I am looking into using one of those hitch mount motorcycle carriers. I tried looking it up but couldn’t find it. Thanks.

A: The factory 2″ box hitch? around 3500 pull and 150 tongue

Q: How to remove 1993 jeep cherokee faceplate to remove factory stereo?
I’m replacing the factory stereo of the 1993 Jeep Cherokee(not grand) and I cant find out how to remove the faceplate bezel on the dash. Can somebody help me?

A: Most of it is held in with pop clips. All you gotta do is give the corners a firm tug and it should pop out. There are some screws going up thru the plastic by the gage cluster

Q: 2002 Grand Jeep Cherokee will start in neutral but not in park?
I have a 2002 Grand Jeep Cherokee (6 cyl, automatic, 2WD) will start in neutral but not in park. Based on a few searches it sounds like this could be a neutral safety switch problem? Could it be something but a neutral safety switch? Assuming it is the switch, what might it cost to repair, including parts and labor?
Thanks for the info

A: It is simple to repair and not expensive.I think its the modulation.

17 mpg City
26 mpg Highway

Government fuel economy stats with link below

Q: Pros and Cons of the Chevrolet Camaro?
I don’t know much about cars and was wondering if the Chevrolet Camaro is of good quality?

the engine, the inside, the outside, etc?
2010 Camaro
I have heard a few people say that the interior sucks when it comes to quality

A: I have sold 3 of them people love the inside its different but not old looking. Both engines are great with the v6 being stock and a nice deal. The outside looks cool. We have had no problems with them aside from getting more of them. My mom bought the first one and she loves it. The only down spot I have heard of is the passenger pillar post cover comes off and they have to replace it. I have only seen one of those.

Q: 2009 Chevrolet Camaro Will It Look Like The Concept ?
Iv’e heard the new camaro will look nothing like the concept. IS this true ? What about a base price ?

A: That seems to be the hot rumor, but it will be pretty similar to the concept. All concepts change, some slightly, some dramatically.

For obvious reasons, this car will not have 21″ front/22″ rear wheels. Look for something comparable to the Vette, like 18″ front/19″ rear wheels. I’d think the side mirrors would be a bit bigger too. Also, the interior will probably be completely redone, with the 4 gauges mounted by the shifter being relocated to the dash cluster, where they are normally found.

I’m sure there will be other changes, but those are probably the most notable that will/should be made.

As far as base price, think Mustang rival, and I’m sure you’ll be pretty close to the price tag (I’d assume slightly higher price tag than the Mustang, since it will be a better car).

Q: repair kit, manual of chevrolet camaro 1991 model?
I need to purchase a service or repair manual for my camaro 1991 model.

A: You can find some manuals for your 1991 Camaro here:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw/103-1897304-3953442?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=camaro+1991+manual

Q: Does the 1998 Chevrolet Camaro 3.8L V6 have a posi rear end?
Also what is the gear ratio?

A: Please call your local chevy dealers parts dept.Give them the last eight of the VIN number and they will be able to answer any question about your 1998 camaro. In there parts computer it shows everything installed on your camaro from the factory and all factory options. No guessing. Best of luck.

Q: What is the horsepower of a 1989 chevrolet camaro rs 5.0 with a 305?
i just want to know.
if you can, too, tell me torque and rpms.
and 0-60 if possible

A: 215hp @ 4,400rpm
290lbft @ 3,300rpm

Q: How does this sound on a chevrolet camaro Z28?
Tires: Goodyear F1 gs-d3 (high performance tires)
Stereo: alpine 50w x 4 iPod, satellite radio, cd deck
Speakers: infinity 6in x 9in 3 way speaker with plus one cones
No clue about a cool air intake

Give recommendations or changes I should make also what kind of cool air intake I should get

A: Nice selection. Try Flowmaster, Edelbrock, K&N…..the best brands.

Q: Why won’t my 97 z28 chevrolet camaro start after replacing the battery?
The car at least turned on when I had the bad battery in it. Now when I have the new battery in the lights, door locks etc. wont even work. The car doesn’t even make a sound when I turn the key. I have already checked all fuses in the car. The only thing I can think of is that there could be a theft mechanism in the computer of the car thats preventing me from starting it. Maybe I shorted the battery out when putting the new one in, who knows? If anyone has any experience with this specific problem please help.

A: One of two things.

1) Your new battery is dead.

2) You hooked the battery up backwards and fried the electrical system.

Q: Overall what car should i get a 1998 Chevrolet camaro z28 or a 1998 Pontiac fire bird?

A: They are the same cars. Engine, transmission, chassis, tire size, gas mileage, and power.

Both are made by GM.

I would take the Camaro because it is more popular and it is more known as the Mustang killer because it is the Mustangs main rival.

Q: How much would insurance cost on a 1995 Chevrolet Camaro?
I don’t actually have the car yet, but I really would like one. I was just wondering to estimate the costs and such.

A: well i have a red 1997 camaro z28 conv. and im an 18 year old male…it costs me 2100 per period (every 6 months). insurance differs from male to female, ur age, what type of engine u have, is it a conv or coupe, the year of the car…all of these are things u have to take into consideration…a females insurance tends to be lower than a males.

Q: does any in-dash cd/mp3 player fit in a 1996 chevrolet camaro?
I have a 1996 chevrolet camaro and i want to get a new cd/mp3 player cause my stock one broke and i dont want to get the wrong one. can any one tell me if any of them fit or does it need a specific size?

A: Check with a company call Crutchfeild you can find them on the net. They will help if there is a good fit & with a fill plate is you need one. They have a great costumer service. They are higher then your box store but the help is pricless

Q: Why is my Ford Explorer losing mileage? I used to get 18-20 mpg & now I’m down to around 14-15. Why?
I get regular oil changes, check my tire inflation & my 4-wheel drive is not locked on. It’s a 1994 & has 278500 miles on it – is it just wearing out or is there something I can do to get my mileage back up? Thanks alot!

A: fuel filter will not effect your fuel economy, but s tune up and air filter may be in order. when was the last time you had the plugs changed? aside from that, i am curios about the efficiency of the tranny, is it slipping possibly?

Q: How do I change the time in 01 Ford Explorer Sport Track?
My dad just bought a used Ford Sport Track and it did not contain the manual. I messed around with the buttons but could not find how to change the time.

A: The menu or rds button, normally.

Q: AC in my 1992 Ford Explorer blows out warm air. Any ideas on why this is happening?
I have a 1992 ford explorer, the ac used to work perfect up until a few months ago. So I recently had it recharged, it worked for about an hour then started blowing out hot air again. Now I have had it recharged, the pump replaced, and have had a mechanic look for leaks which none were found. Does anyone out there have any idea what the problem could be??
Thank you so much!

A: could be a couple of things. first the blend air door, thats the door that controls the hot and cold. it could be stuck in the hot position.
second, the system has a orfice tube, it could be blowed open, not to likely but it can happen
third, is the compressor even turning on
fourth, is it still full of freon, those fords are known for there leaks
fifth, get a different mechanic

Q: Where can I find the remote entry code on my 2010 Ford Explorer Eddi Bauer? I?
I bought a used explorer and do not have the remote entry card. The dealer can look it up via a computer, but I am trying to save time and money. Does any know if the code is actually on the car itself?

A: The 5 digit code is usually embossed onto the security module which is very hard to get to and view.

If you bought the vehicle from a Ford dealer, they should have supplied you with the code when you bought it, and probably still will if you just give them a call. This should not cost you any time nor money.

If you bought it from a some other dealer, A local Ford dealer can still help you. You will need to supply them with proof of ownership and the Vehicle Identification number.
It would be worth your time to establish a relationship with a Local Ford Dealer service center anyways. You would be surprised at how helpful they can be to you, as they want to earn your future business.

Q: i have a 94 ford explorer which was leaking antifreeze everytime i used the heater. i replaced the whole?
radiator with a brand new one. i than notitced that the inside of the car is wet with a mixture of oil and antifreeze and the resovoiur is completely empty. does anyone know where the leak can be coming from or causing it

A: Hi,
The heater core as mentioned by another answerer is a big culprit for the leaking antifreeze. It is basically a small radiator enclosed so air passes over the core and heats the air as it passes. Does your windshield fog up close to the dashboard? If so then another indicator your core is bad. There were some model Fords that have a “plastic” intake manifold. These manifolds were prone to cracking and then leaking. When you get a new one it is metal now. I am not sure if the 94’s were in that group of plastics. I do know they were the V-8s though.
The other answerer talks of a head gasket or cracked head and is partially right. If it were a cracked head the combustion gases would enter the coolant passages and literally push the antifreeze out of the overflow reservoir. A blown head gasket on the other hand is more feasible. Is this scenario you have your coolant pressure running around 7 – 10 pounds of pressure and your oil pressure runs around 30 – 50 pounds. So guess which one wins? The oil pressure would “push” oil into the coolant passages and then you would have a lot of oil in your radiator.

To better answer your question I am going to send a “Ford” expert a link to your question. I say expert because when you hover your mouse over her avatar her best answer rating hovers close to 80% and the answers are typically on the mark! This is a problem she has seen before I assure you!

Good luck with it!

Q: On a 1999 Ford Explorer is there a way to unlock the doors using the keypad?
I own a 1999 Ford Explorer GT, I bought it used, and I was given only one key, which starts the car but will not unlock the doors. I saw the keypad on the door but I have never used a keypad nor do I know how to use this one, I wasnt given a code at the time of purchase either, and now I have locked myself out of my vehicle, and it is my sole means of transportation. Please Help!! THANK YOU!!!

A: There is a power lock relay at the inside left rear area under the plastic cover just ahead of the wheel well. It has a 5 digit # on it. This is the # code for the key pad. You may need a mirror to see the #’s. Now the unfortunate part is your vehicle is locked. So you need to have a tow company come out and open your vehicle first.

Q: How can I hook up my Zune MP3 player to my 2002 Ford Explorer?
I want to hook up my Microsoft Zune to my 2002 Ford Explorer without using a FM transmitter. How can I do this? I think I need an AUX cable and to somehow hook that up to the radio. Any suggestions? It is a factory stereo.

A: I found the best thing since sliced bread…http://www.crutchfield.com/S-9oDEWuNVIo6/cgi-bin/prodview.asp?i=142FMMOD01

It’s not wireless so there’s no chance for interference. It basically adds an AUX port to ANY radio.

It feeds your audio signal from a headphone jack ( or RCA cables) by FM modulation, directly into the antenna input on your radio bypassing the antenna when on, allowing the radio to work as normal when off.

This IS the answer. Totally versatile.

Q: i need a transmission for a 1992 ford explorer 2wheel dr. used?

A: If this is an automatic then you are dealing with an A4LD, if it is a manual transmission then you are dealing with one of the M5OD variants. Either way your best bet is to look to your local auto salvage (junk yard). Either of these transmissions can be from any ford vehicle with the same engine (likely a 4.0 liter V6). There should be plenty of them available as many explorers and rangers came with them, and your local salvage yard will probably even give you a short warranty to ensure that after you install it you are satisfied that it will run well for you. during your installation,(if it’s an automatic) be sure to remove the pan and clean it well, replacing the pan-gasket and the filter inside (available inexpensively from any decent parts store). If this is indeed a manual, you should drain and fill the trans with new high grade ATF. Best wishes, and best of luck with this.

Q: How can I be sure that the 4×4 on my Explorer is working?
I have a 2002 used Ford Explorer. I bought it about a year ago. It has a 4×4 button on it and the light goes on. How can I know for sure that it works, apart from going and trying it out in the snow! We want to drive up to Oregon and need to know just in case there is snow in the pass.

A: jack up the front and rear tires. start it. put it in 4wd. Put it in gear. If the front and rear are spinning, it is working

Pull into a dirt lot. Put it in 4wd. Have a friend stand outside and watch the front tires as you floor it. If the front tires spin (not just roll forward) in the dirt, 4wd is working.

Q: Can I take a SUV I bought used to the Ford dealer to get a recalled part fixed?
I bought a 2002 Ford Explorer in August of 2006. The latch on the back window just broke, causing the window to almost fall off and break. I got it back in temporarily, but it needs to be replaced. I see it was a recalled part back in 2003, and at that time you could take it back to Ford and they would replace it for free.
Can I still take it back to Ford to be replaced, even though I bought it used? Thanks!

A: Yes. You can take a vehicle back for a recalled part at any time.

Q: What type of gear oil does my 1997 ford explorer use I have a D4?

A: The rear axle uses synthetic 75w140 gear lube, if you have s limited slip differential you will need to add Friction Modifier Ford part number C8AZ-19B546-A or equivalent to the lubricant. The front axle uses standard 80w90 gear lube.

Q: Where is the computer module on a 2004 Ford Explorer?
We bought this Explorer used and need the code for the keyless entry on the door. The owner’s manual says you have to get the code from the module or from the dealer. The dealer wants $32.50 to give me the code so I want to find the module. Please Help. Thanks.

A: What gearbox1 said, and I would like to add a couple of details to help you identify the module. There are three electrical connectors to this module, coloured grey, green and blue. On the module is a decal with a number similar to 5L2T-15K602-AA, which would be the part number of the module. There are also FIVE large numbers, which is your five digit keypad code. Again, as gearbox1 says, the other replies refer to 2001 and older model year Explorers. Hope this helps.

Q: I need a complete used left door for my Ford Explorer Sport 2002?
If you have one for sale or if you know where I can find a used cheapest one in Dallas, TX.. let me know please

A: Try the salvage yards. Sometimes vehicles that are wrecked have some very good parts remaining. They may even have one in the exact color you need. Look up the salvage yards in your area and start calling. See where you can get it cheapest. Good luck.

Q: Where can I find the remote entry code on my 2005 Ford Explorer?
I Bought my Explorer used and I don’t know the remote entry code. They hide a default code somewhere on the vehicle, but where? I can take it to the dealer and have them put it on the computer and read the current code but I would like to save the money. I hope someone can help.
Thanks I can see why you’re the Ford Goddess. The code was where you said it would be but it doesn’t seem to work. It might have other issues, although I can lock it from the keypad.

A: To locate the original keypad code, open the right/rear door. Pull the on-body rubber weatherstrip out, around the rear side of the door closure. Fold the right/rear seatback down into the locked position to facilitate access to the right/rear seat belt anchor. Carefully pry the upper plastic panel that houses the height adjuster and seat belt anchor off the body taking care not to damage the panel. Now pry the lower panel outward just far enough to enable access to the Vehicle Security Module, where you’ll see three electrical connectors plugged into it, coloured green, grey, and blue. On the module will be a series of digits on a label similar to 5L2T-15K602-EA. Beside those digits are five numbers. Those five numbers are the keyless entry keypad code. Once the original keypad code has been obtained, you will need to enter it, press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds to activate the programming mode. Holding the 1/2 button for more than 2 seconds after activation will erase the the code you programmed. The existing code will not need to be erased to program a new code. Within 5 seconds, enter the new 5-digit keypad code. The door locks will lock and unlock to confirm the new code is programmed. Hope this helps.

Q: Are SUV’s(a ford explorer) aloud to be used a the car I take the NY road test in?
the reason I ask is because my stupid friend is insisting there not.

the perfect answer to this question would be from someone who took the roadtest in an suv recently

A: In every state, you can use any vehicle as long as it is street legal. Of course, unless you are taking a CDL test, you can’t drive a semi. However, as long as it meets the criteria for being street legal (working turn signals, seat belts, etc) you can use any passenger vehicle for a standard road test.

Q: whats it like to drive the new Jeep wrangler sahara 4 door hard top?

A: It drives the same as any other Jeep Wrangler, only with 4 doors and a bit longer wheelbase

Q: I just bought a brand new jeep wrangler (4 door) and it broke down…?
I just hit the 2000 mile mark and it just stopped as i was going to make a turn up a street. If I try to turn the key i get nothing but a clicking noise… What could be the problem? Its a brand new ****ing jeep!

A: You’ve got a new Jeep with a warranty. Remember, a warranty doesn’t mean that it won’t break. It means that if it does it’ll get fixed for free. It sounds like your battery has shorted out. Call your dealer. Chrysler warranties don’t automatically cover towing, but will with your dealer’s input. Make sure you get a copy of the work performed. The lemon laws are very good. Usually if the same problem occurs three times you have a good claim. Often a manufacturer will buy back a problem vehicle before you initiate action with the lemon law. Don’t blame the dealer!

Q: new red jeep wrangler commercial song?
I would like to know whats the name of & who sings the new 2009 red jeep wrangler commercial song, lyrics which go “she’s so hot”….? it has a jazzy/salsa feel to it that i’d like to download. If anyone else has heard it let me know please.

A: Vick Lavender. The song is called “Vaporizer”. It’s the Abicah Soul Master Mix.

Q: Ordering new Jeep Wrangler soft top. Need some help!?
I am getting a new soft top from Quadratec and I have been looking at the Bestop Sailcloth top. The only issue is that I want the soft top to be black diamond because the black denim is like a gray black and its not dark enough for my liking. But if you search in the 97-02 soft tops the only color available to order is black denim, but if you go to 03-06 then you can order black diamond which I think is blacker than black denim. My question arises with will a 03-06 soft top fit on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler when most 97-06 parts are universal. Also I called Bestop the other day and one of their reps told me they didnt even make the top in black denim. Help please. Thanks

A: . In 03 they change a lot of thing beside the type black. A body change was marked. Which had some changes with the top. If you want a blacker black. Go have one made from your old top. And the fit will be good. Some that has sewing mechanize to work with heavy canva. There should a shop around that could do it. Or you can have the denim top dye to the color you want. If there is a will there is a way.

Q: I am considering buying a new jeep wrangler.?
Any advice as to the plusses and minuses? What is the mileage? How much can I expect to pay? An opinion from someone who has owned or even considered buying one will be very helpful thanks

A: Check out http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/ , you should be able to find plenty of info from other Wrangler owners.

Q: Upgrading tires on my new Jeep Wrangler JK?
I just purchased a new Jeep Wrangler JK, the X model. I would like to upgrade the wheels and tires from the standard X steel rims to the Sahara standard alloys.

Is there going to be any clearance issues, or is the chassis the same on the X and Sahara models and how much should I be looking to spend for a set of five rims + tires.

I would also have to take the car into a shop for the work to be done, I do not have the necessary tools at my disposal. How much is this likely to set me back in labor costs?

Thanks guys.

A: There will be no troubles as long as it’s a JK Sahara. Previous models had different bolt pattern. JK is 5 on 5. You also can’t put 15″ wheels on them, 16s 17s or 18s will work.
Check out the website

Q: where can i off road my new jeep wrangler in iowa city, iowa?

A: try the corn fields

Q: i am looking at buying a new jeep wrangler?
but can someone explain the whole a/c bypass thing to me? purpose? pros and cons?

A: An operating a/c uses engine power to work: I’ve heard many different numbers, from 5 hp to 15 hp. It pulls enough engine power that you can feel it kick-in when you’re driving. To give a car more ‘emergency’ power, like passing, some manufacturers put an a/c cut-off switch in the circuit, hooked to the engine computer. When the accelerator is floored, the computer cuts-off the a/c, so that the power the a/c would normally use can be used for quicker acceleration. When you letup on the accelerator, the computer engages the a/c again….

Q: will 16 inch rims from a new jeep wrangler generation x fit my 1998 grand cherokee ltd?

A: no
the hole pattern on the rims are 5 holes on a 5 inch circle.
the hole pattern on the Grand Cherokee is 5 holes on a 4.5 inch circle.

You may be able to find some adapters, but there are plenty of rums from 2003 – 2006 Rubicons that you should be able to pick up for not too much money. They would be the same bolt pattern, and came in 16″

Q: how do i use the 4 wheel drive function on my “new” jeep wrangler 1990 YJ?
after getting the answer “Pull the lever to 4X4″ perhaps i should be more specific:

1) should the jeep be at a standstill when i do this
2) should i have the jeep in neutral

and a new question…what is the difference between High and Low?

A: Easiest if you are stopped, you can shift into 4wd if you are rolling slowly but the faster you are going the more you are going to grind the gears. Sometimes the gears will bind or not line up perfect which makes it hard to shift in and out, if this happens just roll it forward or back a little until it goes into gear.

Low range is more gear reduction. This means higher engine RPMs and lower wheel speed. The advantage is more torque, or pulling power for climbing hills or other obstacles. You can over rev the engine if you try to drive at highway speeds in 4 low. This is for low speed only.

High will have the same gear reduction as regular 2wd, it is for when you need more traction but not more power.

Q: what color do I chose for my new jeep wrangler ?
its a 4 door

A: My jeep sport is yellow. Works good, it doesn’t show dirt.

Q: How much does a steering box (part, labor, repair etc.) cost to replace in a 1991 Jeep wrangler in New York?
I live in long island and the car is manual 4 cylinder. I am just wondering how much that would cost to replace…the part alone and also the cost of repair ( with labor etc.)

Thank-you

A: well it all depends if u go new or salvage,i would go salvage cause its alot cheaper and those steering boxes dont go out that often, and its really easy 2 replace,id say 225$for new 50$ for used, free u do it your self,65$an hour for labor u have someone else do it.hope i helped ya later

Q: What do people think of the new 4 door jeep wrangler?
I love it, Next year when they come out I plan on getting the 4 door Rubicon Edition

A: They already have them in the dealerships! I just saw 3 of them at the dealership yesterday. And yes I have to agree with you
I love it too! I miss my old Wrangler! I had one for 4 years… damn as soon as my current car is paid in full that is what I want!

Q: what is the song called from the new jeep wrangler commercial?
it goes by “brrr stick em hahaha stick em”

A: The song is “Stick’em” by The Fat Boys. I was wondering the same thing and found the answer in a press release for the Jeep Wrangler, the link is listed below.

Q: ow much does a new jeep wrangler cost?

A: u gunna get a new one??

Q: what do you think about the new toyota camry XLE?
A good car?
Expensive?
Easy to maintain?
Beautiful and near luxury car?

A: Good car, except the gas pedal

Q: WHat is the price of a new toyota camry SE automatic?
i live in florida thank you

A: There’s price and there’s what one pays. Go to kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book) and see what the dealer’s cost is in your ZIP code. Start bargaining from that number. Now is good time to buy. You can customize the quote with the options you want, e.g. moon roof, 6 CD changer, etc. We have Toyota’s and paid $300 over dealer cost for the Solara (which they don’t make any more but may bring back in 2011 or so we have been told). for the Corolla LE we paid $99 over dealer cost by negotiating over the internet with the dealer. Besides the cost, look at financing before you go in. The dealer may give you a better rate or not, but you want to deal with as much info as you can get. Some credit unions offer a cut in the rate when you put 20% down. The 4 cylinder is peppy enough for most folks and gets better mileage. Test drive them both. Good luck.

Q: HOW MUCH IS IT TO REPLACE A NEW TOYOTA CAMRY SIDE MIRROR (DRIVER) & TO BUFF A SCRATCH OUT (ABOUT A FOOT)?
i need to replace a side mirror to a Toyota Camry i dont know the year but it is a newer one… at least and 06-09… there is also a scratch doesnt look too bad and im figuring to just get that buffed out and i would like the average going rate to get both of them fixed… thats if i have to buy a new side mirror also… please help

A: I dont know about how much it will cost to buff out, but usually, to get the mirror replaced, the labor charge i think is around $80 to $150 depending on where you go.

Q: Why my new Toyota Camry crash at 100 mph through garage door? Why?
Garage door ruined and Camry plastic all crackled up.
To YOU Miss smug Mary below..the ToyotaBot ….I DO own a CAMRY.

A: 04+ Japanese care have a throttle response issue where they do not return to idle to they give the engine gas even if you are braking.

Q: which is better? the new honda accord or the new toyota camry?
thanks for the help. trying to choose one.
pics are here in the link

http://cache.jalopnik.com/cars/assets/resources/2007/08/2008_Honda_Accord_Official.jpg

http://images.paultan.org/images/Toyota_Camry_Aerokit_1.jpg

A: well dude, its what you are looking for in a car. Honda accord and toyota camry are basically the same, besides the fact that Honda Accord is more agile and sporty, where as the camry is soft and smoother. The Honda Accord is also a Top Safety Pick of the IIHS. The Camry, however, offers a hybrid version which boasts a MPG rating of 35ish mixed conditions.

Q: If I get approved for a 2010 NEW Toyota Camry with 0%APR, should I get it even though I don’t want a car?
The camrys are beautiful but i’m so used to the SUV i’m driving now and my husband and I like BIG! We wanted to the Tundra but its to much a month and so are the SUV’s we want. The lady we are dealing with was working on a Tundra for us but she told us the payments are in the 400’s and I told her thats too much a month for us, so she said that we may be able to get a brand new Camry with 0% APR and it will be lower than what I was intending on paying…

If I can get a 0% APR on a brand new car, even though we don’t want a car, should we do it? The deal seems too good to pass up and plus, its beautiful, its just not big like we want…please share any thoughts you may have! thank u!
no help at all….thanks…

A: That is a great deal. If you can get a good trade than sure. If your car works fine then keep yours.

Q: Is it me or does it seem like everyone has the new toyota camry?

A: It is you, most of the people I know have the new Malibu.

Q: Insurance for my New Toyota Camry?
I am from MA. I am about to purchase an 2009 camry 2009.
What insurance should i be going with.?

A: There are services that can help you find the best quote available to you.

By filling out one form on-line you can get multiple quotes from different companies and agents.

This beats talking to dozens of agents giving the same information over and over just to end up getting quotes from the same companies.

I have been able to save a lot of money by shopping every few years.

The important thing is to use reliable companies that offer this kind of service. I know of two that are very good. If you are interested you can access them at:

http://www.dpbolvw.net/click-2952034-10361923

and

http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-2952034-10392698

GOOD LUCK!

Q: Would a newer Toyota Camry engine be able to fit into an old Camry (say, 1989)?
I have a toyota camry wagon, and i hate the tiny 2.0 liter engine in it… i was wondering if anyone could tell me where to possibly find a new toyota camry engine (take for example a 2AZ-FE model engine). and if it was at all possible to drop that engine into the older vehicle with minor conversions?

A: Fit yes. Be worth it NO. You could take your 3SFE engine and really bring some serious power out of it. If you are serious you can get a Cylinder head from a 3SGTE MR2 or Celica All-trac Turbo and turbocharge your engine(just dont run too high boost as your internals unlike the GTE version are not forged). Or even get a good used JDM 3SGE from an MR2 that 177HP and it bolts directly in. Just some wiring to do and plug in the ECU and you are good to go for 1/4 of the price of anywhere else. There are some good used engine sites around. All in all the S engines are very good engines to build and Toyota has done the work already of building them for other cars now you can just get it swapped in.

Ive bought an engine from this one in particular
www.naganojapanese.com

you can also try osakajdmmotors.com
japanesestarmotor.com

and even do a search online.

Q: is a new toyota camry better or a new nissian altima?
both V4, and strip models

A: Altima

Q: New 2009 Toyota Camry Low Beam Headlight Problem?
The headlights only show about 30 yards of roadway. Servicing dealer says they are not adjustable and according to them it is within Specs, Anyone having a similar issue with 2009 or 2010 Toyota Camry’s?

A: A lot of cars anymore aren’t adjustable. Are your tires properly inflated? Or something else like that? Otherwise that’s just how it’s made.

Q: why does my 1993 toyota camry battery uncharge?
why does my brand new toyota camry 1993 battery uncharged overnight? its a new battery and i checked and it is good. if you drive the car everything works good if you start the car right away with the new battery. i changed the distributor. checked the starter, it runs good. i also checked the alternator. and it also works great. just anyways, i checked everything but if you leave the battery inside the car plugged in overnight, it uncharged. anyone have an idea of what there might be that takes the power from the battery?

A: “its a new battery and i checked and it is good”.
Really? what is the voltage reading while cranking?
“i also checked the alternator. and it also works great”.
Really? Output @ 2K rpm is what?
“it uncharged”.
Really? Never hear that term used LOL.
Here is an answer but you won’t understand it I’m guessing

http://www.wikihow.com/Find-a-Parasitic-Battery-Drain

Q: Why won’t new battery start 1993 Toyota Camry LE?
This is a one owner car. Hadn’t had any problems with it. All of sudden it wouldn’t crank/start. Bought a new battery. That didn’t fix the problem. It drained in less than 24 hours. This has gone on for more than six months. The mechanic can’t find the problem. It’s been in an d out of the shop. Would any of you have any advice or a link to Toyota’s manual? I would appreciate any and all input. Thanks.

A: drained the battery in 24 hours? did the mechanic check the alternator? id find a new mechanic.

Q: I have a new Toyota Camry LE hood 2005. In which media would it be easiest to sell this hood.?
The hood is nearly perfect, primed and ready to paint. There is a nearly invisable flaw that should be able to be readily repaired. It can only be seen at an oblique angle. Is it still saleable?

A: Sell it through your local www.craigslist.org. The ad is free. Include a photo.

You don’t want to have to ship a hood, so local ad is the way to go.

yeah, somebody might buy it, sure, if they are trying to save on collision repairs.

Q: 1990 toyota camry new radiator an still overheat please help

A: GET IN THE ZONE…..AUTO ZONE!!!!!

Q: What does the HF on the new Honda civic stand for?
Just wondering also is it replacing the hx from 95just how they brought the cr-z for the cr-x

A: New to the Civic lineup, the Civic HF takes fuel efficiency to higher levels[2].
The Slippery Civic
The new Civic HF has the same smooth, mpg-enhancing shape as all Civics.
The Science of Fuel Saving
The Civic HF also gets the same efficient powerplant as the rest of the lineup, but adds an aerodynamic decklid spoiler and unique alloy wheels with low rolling-resistance tires.
Go Low
To further enhance aerodynamics, the ride of the HF was lowered a bit compared to other Civic models, and special wind-cheating underbody panels were also added.

Q: Which car do you think is better the new honda civic or the mazda 3?
they are both selling very well 100,000s a year

mazda 3
you can get a hatch or sedan
entry level has a VVT 108kw inline 4

the new honda civic
honda has a slick sedan
A coupe and hatch in some markets
longer list of comfort features
entry level has a i-VTEC 103kw inline 4
better gas milage

A: I have a new honda civic and love it, if that helps

Q: what’s the song in the new honda civic commercial?
you know, the one where it’s one guy dressed up a bunch of different ways and the map folds up into a paper airplane and it ends with the guy going to vote, and he votes for the new civic. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it!!! thank you!!!

A: The Go! Team – Huddle Formation

Q: How long do you think I could run a new Honda civic without an oil change before the engine fails?

A: 50-75k, oil and engines have come a long way in the last few decades

Q: just bought a new honda civic type r gt the new shape the clutch has been sticking after 3 days whats wrong?

A: jap scrap

Q: What do you think of putting a front and a rear spoilers for the new honda civic?

A: It would be pointless unless you are doing it for looks, which is kind of ironic if you’re trying to make your car look different because 9/10 ricers will do the same thing.

I would say take the same money and put it into tinting your windows or getting a stiffer rear anti-sway bar or a cold air intake. At least those things serve some purpose.

Q: Should I buy extended warranty for new Honda Civic?
I just bought a Honda Civic Couple LX 2006 – current warranty is 3 year/36,000. Dealer is giving me option now for 5 year/80,000 for $1,200. Should I get it?

A: Extended warranties on new cars are usually not a good long-term value. Since your original car warranty runs for the first 3 years, you are essentially paying $600 a year (In advance) for an extra two year’s coverage.

You would be better off putting that $1,200 in your own savings account and keeping it in reserve for future car maintenance costs. If you take care of your car and perform scheduled maintenance as suggested by the manufacturer, you may never need to touch your bank account, and will still have that money (plus interest) at the end of five years.

Q: Is choosing the navigation option for a new Honda Civic worth the extra price?

A: I’ve looked into this a lot as to decide whether our new family car should come with the navi or not.

Is it worth the extra price? yes and no. here’s why….

If you don’t buy the navigation from the dealer, and instead get an aftermarket one and install it, it willl be cheaper + usually has more options/features. The thing with aftermarket systems is it doesn’t take someone long to break into your car and yank it out, leaving you with a loss of a system that probably cost around $1k.

If you DO get the navigation from the dealership, it is more pricey, but for the most part its covered under warranty from the dealer should anything happen + it would be a lot harder for a thief to take that out than an aftermarket system. You can’t really just rip it out of the dash and run with it (at least not without rendering it useless). However dealership navigation systems usually have less feautures than most aftermarket systems (usb connectivity, limited ipod integration, etc)

When buying our new Honda we decided not to go with the navigation option, it was too pricey for the lack of features, but we wont be installing an aftermarket system either, instead we just got a portable GPS. Works like a charm + its easy to just take it with you when you leave the car. No problems

hope that helped ya!

Q: How cool is a new Honda Civic 2009?
Just wondering. Would you want a car like that?

A: Reliable?Yes
Economical?Yes
Practical?Yes
Cool? No

It’s a boring car. It does alot of things well, but it seems to me to be an appliance, there’s no personality, no soul.

Q: How much could you knock off a new Honda Civic at the dealer?
I was thinking a DX-G with 3500 down payment (CDN). Since the Canadian dollar is at an all-time high (sort of, like recently) how low could the dealer go and still cut a profit?

Here would be what I would go for and the suggested price

MSRP: 19,180
Accessories: 723
Freight & PDI: 1,275
Honda Plus:
Taxes and Levies 3,085
Total Price: 24,263 (tax in)

A: edmonds.com is the price what people pay in your area. check it out

Q: What’s the top speed of the new Honda Civic ?
Can you tell me please the top speed of the Honda Civic 2007 Sedan 1.8L ?

A: governor limited to 150

Q: What is the song in the new honda civic commercial (2007)?
it shows a guy waking up..
he has multiple people of him with different outfits
and they all have a different car

the song is really good and i want to know what it is!

A: “Huddle Formation” by The Go! Team
???
here is a video using the song in the background……..hope this helps

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZZrjiVO688

Q: Would you agree that the new Honda Civic is a great alternative to a VW Golf.?
I am about order my new car and have decided on a Civic sport.
I will be spending about £16,000 and have had a great deal of trouble concluding what to buy

A: Both fantastic cars but you pay way over the odds for a really good Golf. As a Lexus driver I would put my money on the Jap cars everytime. The Civic is fantastic in every engine size and style. If you are thinking of buying a car of this type have you checked out the Focus? It is the best in this class and beats the stupid BMW1 hands down too!

Q: the bangin song in the new honda civic commercial?
I know you can watch it on civicnation.ca under united we drive.

A: Go here:

http://www.splendad.com/

Q: Have you had problems with airbags in your new Honda civic sedan?
Yesterday I crashed my 2006 Honda civic sedan and the passenger airbag poped out but the driver one didn’t.
My car is now written off but I’m glad I Have insurance and able to get out of the car with only a few bruises.

by the way this happened in Broadmeadows, Melbourne
, Victoria, Australia time 8:55 am

A: It’s because of the angle your car got hit (MAYBE? idk where u got hit) Or the car might have sensed that it would have been better if your airbag didn’t deploy because of the severity of your side in the crash. Honda is very advanced in safety and I’m sure it had something to do with keeping you safe. You walked out with minor injuries didn’t you? =]

Q: Jaguar XF or Audi A5??
What do you recommend I buy? A brand new Jaguar XF or a Audi A5 Quattro (both roughly same price). Both I think have pros and cons. Discuss….
More answers please!!

A: none of the above.

well the jaguar if you must.

but both cars are very expensive to repair

the Audi has a poor customer satisfaction rating.

Q: ‘09 Audi A4 headlight fit in ‘09 Audi A5?
I was planning to buy the Audi A5 last month but realized the new A4 that just came out has better looking headlights. Does anyone know if the headlights in the A4 will fit in an A5? Or will the upcoming A5’s have the same style headlights?

A: Doubt it.
Check with authorised Audi dealer on part numbers.

Q: How reliable are Audi’s?
my mom wants to buy a new 2009 Audi A5 manual transmission

good or bad choice
and how reliable are they
what are some problems Audi’s tend to have

A: audi’s are very nice cars. the are german are basically tweaked VW, witch are reliable. but when something does go on them be prepared to pay a fair amount depending on what the problem is. Audi’s are quick, smooth and overall a great car in my opinion. good luck

Q: Audi A5 or Range Rover Sport..or?
Ok..so i’m shopping for a new car..I’m a 27 yo..single..female..I’m stuck.. which car would you guys pick…Here are my picks..Audi A5, Range Rover Sport, or BMW 3 Series Convertable Hard Top….I’m planning on purchasing not leasing..so im going to own the car..

A: range rover!
or you could even look at the the Audi Q5

Q: Audi A5, Jaguar XF or Tesla S?
My dad wants to buy a new car because i will be driving next year so i will get his car, a Volvo S60. He has been going back and forth between the Audi A5 the Jag XF and the Tesla S. What do you think is the best for him? He is almost 50 if that helps…

A: The audi is the highest quality.

Q: how much would it cost to insure an audi a5 with a salvaged title?
in new york

A: It should cost the same as a clean-titled Audi but you will be paid less if you get into a major accident, how much is subjective. I own a salvage car now and just have liability and comprehensive but I only buy older salvage cars that aren’t worth more than $3k so collision is not important to me.

Q: Audi A5- Order Cancellation?
Well, it is a long story, I’ll try to keep it brief. My mom decided she wanted an Audi A5. My dad wants to give it to her as a gift. We ordered one from Len Stoler Audi. While other dealers were not willing to give us any money off due to the car being brand new, and since we are ordering it, Len Stoler was willing to drop $950 off the sticker. We set out the order from them. They originally said in mid March that it would be here in late June. To add some competition, we ordered the exact same car from Valley Motors Audi about a week later. They said they would drop $450 off the price. They said it would come in in August. We asked why is would be later than the other dealer. They said they are not allowed by Audi to get any more 2008’s, and we would get a 2009. We had to call Len Stoler and ask why it would be quicker. They told us they made a mistake and it would come in later. Around 4 Weeks after the Len Stoler order, we got a letter from them thanking us for the purchase, they…
even knew that we were keeping this as a secret from my mom. She got into the mail and read it, now it isn’t even a surprise. Is it worth the savings of $500 from Len Stoler to buy it from them, even though they have already pissed us of Twice?

Thanks

A: Yea i would call them up and talk to the manager of sales department not your salesmen.. Honestly it is a cliche but most of them are full of bs.. So go straight to the boss and explain how your so upset and that Valley motors audi is offering 950$ off the sticker and that your just going to get it from them since you have been inconvenienced so much with Len Stoler its no point to continue to do business with them, say the only way you will consider even purchasing the A5 from them is if they drop the price 500$ more. Thats wat i would

Q: BMW vs. Mercedes vs. Audi?
My mom has been in the market for a new car for a while now, now I introduced her into some new decisions that are used, what do you think is the best?

2005 BMW 645 Coupe with 15,000 Miles
2006 Mercedes E55 AMG with 18,000 Miles
2005 Mercedes CLK350 Convertible with 13,000 Miles
NEW 2008 Audi A5

I prefer not to buy new due to the savings you can get by buying a low-mileage used car. The E55 is clearly the best deal, but she is not sure about the red leather inserts on the seats. The 6-Series is the most money, but it is in immaculate condition, as well as every single option. The Audi is one of the best looking cars on the planet, I am just worried about Audi reliability. The CLK is really good looking, and it is a convertible, and the least expensive.

Thanks

http://www.bmwofmanhattan.com/preowned/dsp_viewcar.cfm?vin=WBAEH73495B193084

A: The BMW w/ all the features will make you happy. And it looks pretty good too.

Q: Should my dad buy a 2004 maserati, 2010 Audi a5, or infiniti g37 sport?
By the end of the summer my dad would like to buy a new car because his 1996 Audi a4 Is completely failing. We know owning the maserati would cool and fun to have but it’s maintence and fuel economy isn’t good. It just got a new Clutch but that’s all the maintence I know about besides yearly oil changes and tune ups. We really have no clue on which we should buy on our benefit. Please give any information or suggestions it will be much appriciated.

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carinsurance.deep-ice.com

Q: Audi A5 or A6?
Looking to buy a new car. Like the look of the A5. Nearly had an A6 bought at Christmas. Pros and cons?

A: I prefer the A5 but why not wait to test drive the new A4 which is on sale next month. I have a feeling that the A6 will be next for a model change,

Q: Audi A4/A5 convertible or Lexus IS250C?
Hi,

I am trying to decide between an Audi A4/A5 or a Sports Luxury IS250C.

I will be buying the car brand new (2010 model). And am located in Australia.

Which is better? And which audi model is better – the A4 or A5 convertible?

Thank you.

A: @Eric: You’re calling the Lexus a glorified Toyota? At least the Lexus IS doesn’t have a Toyota counterpart. The Audi A4, however, is based on the Volkswagen Passat. They share the same platform, a few of the same parts, and they look quite similar. I don’t mean to put down Audi here, but if a Lexus is an overpriced Toyota than an Audi is an overpriced VW. By the way, there’s more Audi’s based on VW’s than there are Lexus based on Toyota’s.

Back to the question. They quit making the A4 convertible a while back so if you’re buying brand new your only choice is the A5 Convertible. I like both of the cars you mentioned. Obviously the Lexus is more reliable and has the smoothest ride, but the Audi is sportier and more engaging to drive. I also think the Audi is better looking, but that’s a matter of opinion. It really just depends on what you like and what you want from a car.

I would probably choose the Audi A5 Cabriolet, but you can’t go wrong either way.

Q: Audi A5 vs Lexus IS Coupe vs Infiniti G37?
In about three months I’m getting a new car and I’ve been looking at these three. Looking at all around aspects of the car – mileage, speed, looks, space, comfort – which do you think is the best choice? I haven’t gotten the chance to test drive any quite yet so if you’ve ever driven one or own/owned one, what’s your opinion on them? If you do have one of these vehicles, how do you like it?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com

Q: Audi A5 vs Infiniti G37?
I am thinking about getting a new car but can’t decide between the A5 and G37. the A5 is about $6000 more expensive than the G37 and has less horses as well, but is a beautiful machine. I have always owned Japanese and was thinking about giving German engineering a try. Thanks

P.S. No BMW 3 Coupe suggestions. I gave it a look and you have to add too many things that should be standard on a luxary vehicle and the price winds up $15000-$20000 over the base.

A: I’d take the G37.

It’s better built, faster, and handles better. I agree: the A5 and S5 are drop-dead gorgeous cars, and I wouldn’t mind having one… however I worked for VWAG/Audi/Porsche for a long time and I know firsthand the problems that Audis have, especially for the first year or two that they introduce a new car.

I wouldn’t risk it.

Plus, the G37 is a slick looking car too. My friend has a black-on-black six speed sitting on a set of HRE rims, and it’s a killer! As far as performance in the wet is concerned, I drive a Honda S2000, which is rear wheel drive, and the year I have didn’t have traction control. Don’t drive it like a numbskull and you won’t end up with a numb skull. I’ve driven in torrential downpours in summer tires in it and haven’t ever lost control of it.

Q: BMW 335ci, Merc CLK 350 or Audi A5 (3.2)?
I’d like a new coupe (I’ve had company saloons up until now) but the woman insists on it being practical as well so i have narrowed it down to these, although other suggestions are appreciations. (absolute max £45K)

i am verging towards the Audi but haven’t driven the BMW yet

A: Hi Being in the motor trade for many years when people ask me this question my suggestion is this

Dont just get a test drive

Go and hire each one for a weekend then you all can see what suits you best its the best way for you to make your mind up and if you are really good you can sometimes get a demo car free for the week end !

This is worth being tried to save ” we should have brought that one ” later on

Hope this helps

Q: BMW 335 vs Audi A5, or something else?
I’ll be on market for new car in January and these 2 are ones that caught my eye.
They’re right in my price range so I’ ask you: what do you think is better one and maybe recommend 3rd option?

For me Audi looks better outside and inside while BMW got better performance and is cheaper.

Tough choice really so would like some more opinions.

Thanks
I forgot to mention I’m buying used.

A: If you’re looking for an Audi Quattro car, look at the S4, not the A5. The S4 has a very clever new differential that controls the way the car drives. The A5’s 4wd system is there for safety (50/50 torque split, creates understeer) whereas the S4’s system is there to enhance the fun.

Personally, I’d get the 335i because I’d prefer rear wheel drive over 4wd any day of the week. The steering is way better, it gets better fuel economy, weighs less, and you can get the tail out any time you want. I live in the Northeastern United States, and I have no problems getting around in a rear wheel drive car in the snow/rain. You get some wheel spin with the traction control off, but keep it on and you’re fine.

The S4 is tempting because it’s quicker from 0-60 over the BMW, but BMW offers a more rewarding manual transmission, and like I said, it’s more fun because of rear wheel drive. The Audi has a better interior though.

Ok, so to recap: Forget the A5, look at the S4. The A5 looks better, but the S4 is more dynamic and more comfortable thanks to adaptive chassis control. I’d get the 335i because it has rear wheel drive, but if you really feel that you want 4wd, or if you like the extra power of the S4, go for the Audi. They’re both exceptional vehicles.

is the slim kit the way to go? what would you recommend 35w or 55w? do i need the hid harness, or the error eliminator?

A: hello we are ultrahid and we sell high quality HID kits. your car bulb is a 9007 which is high and lows in one bulb.
you have three choices.
1. 9007 low beam which you will loose your highs
2. 9007 high/ low beam kit which is low beam HID and high beam halogen
3. 9007 bixenon kit which is both your high and low beam in HID. ( popular kit).
you dont need the error eliminator for your ford truck.
if you get the harness it will give your HID kit more life but if you get our Bixenon kit a relay will be included.
our kits are all slim no matter if you get the $39.99 kit or the upgrade to digital kits which is an extra $39.99. the upgrade is better due to that it will last you up to 3 years more and is a lot brighter than DDM tunning kits. the 55 watts will eventually melt your inner part of your headlight.
if you have any questions please email us at ultra_hid@yahoo.com

here is our site and if you get the fog lights or the upgrade to the better kit which is digital here is a 10% discount 123456
your fogs lights are 9145

Q: my 2003 cadillac cts want start after overnite.everything is turn off?
have new altornator,start & battery

A: it is a parastic draw, do you have an autostart. you need to pull fuses until it goes away to find the problem. take it somewhere to be repaired

Q: I need opinions on a Cadillac CTS!!!?
I am in the process of looking for a vehicle that provides a smooth ride for my newborn. I dont like SUV’s and I cant really afford a new truck. I have been looking at the Cadillac CTS…used of course…and I have fallen in love! HOWEVER, I have talked to some people that say they always break down and are super expensive to fix. And then Ive talked to other people who have driven them all thier life and never had a problem and love them. Im confused. I know any car can break down, but can anyone share thier experience with me about em. Are they good cars and am I making a good choice?

A: You can read lots of owner reviews at a site like Edmunds.com for any recent vehicle based on make, model and year. The CTS was a $30,000 plus car when new, and is certainly not the cheapest car to fix. Cadillac also has a certified pre-owned program that can provide a 6 year/100,000 mile warranty on the car that will cover most repairs, which most Cadillac dealers offer. Good luck.

Q: Ford Mustang Vs Cadillac Cts V?? who wins?
my freind is gonna race this guy this weekend
his rebuilt 1970 ford mustang mach 1 with a 5.8 liter Windsor 351 V8
and has a four barrel carburetor for 290 hp
i dont no the torque however

rebulit in that the transmission is new as of 3 years
and the tires are new and its had some minor body adjustments

the Cadillac cts v- as far as i know has a 6 litter ls2 v8

A: I’m a Mustang guy, but I think CTS-V is going to eat your friend’s lunch, it’s a very fast car.

If the CTS-V is a 2006 or a 2007 it’ll have the 400 HP LS2. Your friend *might* have chance if the caddy driver is grossly incompetent. If the CTS-V is a new one with the supercharged LSA, there’s virtually no chance of winning.

Q: I want to buy a used or new car?
These are my choices Cadillac CTS, SRX, Scion TC (new), Saturn Vue. I want a good car under $20,000 what is the best car for the money new or used. What is the best finance company to go though for first time buyer with no credit. Is it better to buy used or new for first time buyers.

A: Buy a solid used car and pocket 10,000 large. You will lose 60% of a new cars’ value the first four years you own it. Let the other guy take the hit, buy a well maintained Cadillac, Scion, Saturn or anything else for that matter. Ther are MILLIONS of used cars out there that will take you anywhere you want to go without anymore trouble than a new one will. New car warranties are a myth — keep two thousand dollars in a savings account for MAJOR breakdowns and you will still save thousands and thousands over the cost of a new vehicle.

Q: My 2003 Cadillac CTS transmission fluid line cracked off the radiator. The trans fluid leaked out.?
The transmission fluid line cracked…the hose that goes into the radiator, causing all the trans fluid to leak out, and could have possibly ruined the trans. I just paid 1150 in repairs (new radiator + labor), but is this a known problem on Cadillac CTS (2003). I was driving on the highway and all of the sudden the trans fluid started burning off the engine, and there was smoke coming out of the hood. The dealer says something hit the line going into the radiator, but I don’t know how. Will insurance cover this? Is this a known Cadillac problem? Thanks!

A: i don’t own one but i would say the line was hit by a rock or something in that sort. possibly even a piece of tire from a semi retread.

Q: Is there something else that can be done besides buying new tires?
I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS…I love the car, but the rear tires seem to always spin (on turns) when the ground is wet….I just bought new tires over the summer (pretty good ones too), and its still happening….

Do I got to throw some things in the trunk to weight the back down or something???

What can I do?

A: Hard to answer without knowing what brand and model of tires you are currently using. Extra weight in the rear may just make it worse due to inertia.

Q: how much for a cadillac cts?
okay.. like i want a cadillac cts 2008 or 2009.. and it doesnt matter if its new or used. but i wanna noe like how much would i have to put down for my down payment and den how much wud da payments on da car be cuz i cant afford to pay all of da money at one time. so how much wud it be?.. and including the insurance and stuff. and say my credit is not da best, but it aint da worst either. thanks :]

A: You’re not intelligent enough to operate a vehicle, judging from your incredible misuse and destruction of the English language.

So, regardless of the price of the car; which you would have been able to look up for yourself, if you had even thought about it…….it won’t do you any good.

Q: Is Cadillac going to make me pay for this?
I just bought a 2010 Cadillac SRX. The color I wanted wasn’t in yet, so it was going to be a few days before I could get it. They gave me a new CTS Demo I believe to drive until it comes in. I just spilled a red drink on the floor board on accident. Ahhhh! I could cry. Are they going to make me pay for new carpet? I am so nervous to call or take it back now.

A: Unfortunately yes they will charge you. What you should try is go to walmart and buy some ZEP High Traffic Carpet Cleaner. It works wonders on carpet stains. The sooner you clean it the easier it will be to get it to come out.

Q: Cadillac CTS-V ipod connector cord?
So my mom got this new cadilliac and it’s supposed to be able to connect to an ipod but when we tried using the usb cord that comes with the ipod it doesn’t work. After searching online I came to this page: http://www.gm.com/vehicles/parts/ipod/
and I don’t know which one of the 2 options to get. I don’t really understand the difference either. It’s a Cadillac CTS-V. My mom doesn’t know what she’s doing when it comes to cars so I thought I’d ask lol. Someone please help I am sooooo confused!!!!

A: My Friends parents have a cts and it’s uses a regular iPod USB cable that plugs into a connector in the center console. The few that I’ve worked on have had the Same thing. I believe that if you have this connection that it should automatically connect when plugged in and when the radio is selected to auxiliary. You may need to consult with the operators manual to select this setting. I hope 8?3 been some Help

Q: bmw 323i or cadillac cts?
i am buying a used car. i have found a 2006 bmw 323i for 16,000 and a 2007 cadillac cts for 14,500. i personally want the bmw because cadillac is pretty hard to park and back up because its big and the bmw looks better. but my friend is telling me that when the new model of the bmw 3 series goes on sale in 2012, this model is going to be a lot cheaper. i really need a car right now and i cant wait a year. but i don’t want to pay too much for something i could get for less next year. would the bmw loose alot of its value? if so should i buy the cadillac or something else. i want the car to be 20,000 at most including the taxes which i going to pay when i register the car. if anyone has any opinions or suggestions for me i would really appreciate the help.

A: You are comparing apples to oranges here. There is NO comparison in the cars. The Caddy is a typical GM pile of junk. Aluminum head, bad motor and horrible drive train.

Go with the BMW, you will NOT be disappointed!

Q: 2004 Cadillac CTS vs. 2004 Acura TL?
Alright, so the time has come for me to get a new car. I am 6′4″ and about 275 pounds, so i need a car that has a strong engine and is roomy on the inside. After persuasion from my parents, they agreed to double whatever money i saved from work to buy myself a car for my 18th birthday. right now i have a 1998 toyota camry, and i am looking to get something with more horsepower and of course better quality.
i have narrowed it down right now to an 04 acura tl and an 04 or 05 cadillac cts. what would you recommend and why?

thanks for your answers.
and i am open to other suggestions as long as it is stylish, a v6, and is under $15,000

A: I am a huge fan of American cars… in fact, I buy nothing but… which makes it all the more important when I say: forget the ‘04 CTS and get the ‘04 Acura TL. The newer CTS is a MUCH better car, better even than anything Acura makes currently. Having said that, if you prefer the ‘04 CTS, make sure it has the 3.6-liter V6 as that motor is comparable in performance to the ‘04 TL.

Q: Is the Cadillac CTS a good buy?
I was wondering if anyone who owns this car could tell me about the reliability/maintenance? I am in the market for a new car and my choice was between a g37 sedan, bmw 328, and audi a4. I am leaning most towards the g37 because the bmw is too uncomfortable and the audi a4 is sssllooww. I love the cadillac CTS but I can’t help but think it is a POS american car that will break down on me when I hit like 80K miles. Anyone have any experience with this car? Also I am keeping in mind the economic future of the brand, which isn’t looking too good.

A: when i think of american cars all i can think of this the bad things about it
like what you are thinking
my opinion is kind of alike compare to yours
audi a4 is not a good car
if i was going to buy a new car at around $40 000 canadian
i will either pick Infiniti G37 Sedan Luxury A7 or Lexus IS 250/350
they are both very Luxury and powerful ,around 300hp(only is 350)
but i personal like the IS 350 more because it look more sporty
and just a better brand overall , lexus is one of the best brand out there
so i will stick away from bmw, audi and american cars
because they need to spend alot more $$$$ on maintenance and repair and reliability is much lower since they care about performance more
BMW is good too but compare to the price it got ONLY 230hp where as 328hp on g37
soo THINK THINK THINK about what you get for the same price!!!!!!!!!
but let you know smaller engine=uses less gas (most cases)

Q: How Much Would Insurance Cost For a 2004 Cadillac CTS for a 20 Year Old?
Im currently looking into getting rid of my ‘old 1994 Mustang GT’ and replacing it with a ‘2004 Cadillac CTS’. How much would insurance be for me a month?

Here are the reasons why I would like to get a new car: 1.Reliability
2.Comfort

My 94 Mustang GT is just giving me too much mechanicle problems, which is eating at my budget. I fix one thing, another goes wrong, which is getting quite expensive. So i think its about time to get a new car. Will it be cheaper and less of a headache for me to get a new car? And how much would insurance cost for a 20 year old with no bad driving history? Just give me rough estimate. Also the CTS is a V6 which should be cheaper than my current V8. I currently spend $120 a month on gas alone. So inconclusion would it be cheaper for me to just get the CTS? And what is a rough estimate for monthly insurance?

A: Your premium will be exactly 333.50

Q: Should I Buy This Car? Cadillac CTS?
Hello, I am looking to buy my son his first car. He was looking at a lot of cars but I found this one in particular. We are looking to spend less that 10k on this car, and we found a Cadillac CTS close by to us for only $8,995.00. The catch is it has 180,049 miles on it. I have seen it in person and it looks and feels brand new. But im worried that because of the miles something could easily be wrong with it.

So, should I buy this car or not?
It has an Autocheck score of 93
It is a 2006

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.fateback.com

Q: 2004 Acura TL vs. 2004-2005 Cadillac CTS?
Alright, so the time has come for me to get a new car. I am 6′4″ and about 275 pounds, so i need a car that has a strong engine and is roomy on the inside. After persuasion from my parents, they agreed to double whatever money i saved from work to buy myself a car for my 18th birthday. right now i have a 1998 toyota camry, and i am looking to get something with more horsepower and of course better quality.
i have narrowed it down right now to an 04 acura tl and an 04 or 05 cadillac cts. what would you recommend and why?

thanks for your answers.
and i am open to other suggestions as long as it is stylish, a v6, and is under $15,000
down here in la it’s actually not that expensive, plus i have ins with a dealer who is a good family friend.

A: Deffintly not the caddy, do research on a northstar cadilac engine and you will find out why.

The TL will be alot more reliable.
